Wallabies have a variety of personalities, from docile and friendly to jumpy and anxious. They are generally intelligent and can be loving and affectionate with humans and other wallabies. However, individual wallabies have their own personalities and learn from their experiences.

Social behavior
Wallabies are social animals that live in groups in the wild. They are most active in the early morning and evening, especially in arid areas.

Communication
Wallabies communicate through growls, hisses, coughs, and isolation calls. Males “cluck” when courting, and females hiss during sexual encounters.
Defense
Wallabies’ best defense is their speed, and they can hop up to 70 km/h over short distances.
Regulating their reproductive systems
Wallabies have an amazing ability to regulate their reproductive systems. For example, mothers can produce different types of milk to feed a joey and pinkie at the same time.
Licking and salivating
Wallabies lick and salivate on their paws and arms to cool down in hot environments.
Regurgitating food
Some wallabies regurgitate their food before lying down and then re-consume it.
